Kolkata: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has announced a reward of Rs 50,000 for those who will inform the Central agency about the whereabouts of the accused persons in connection with the post-poll violence case of Jagaddal.
On May 2 last year, after the election results were announced, a group of people attacked the house of a woman, identified as Sovarani Mondal. Her son was badly assaulted and when she tried to resist, she was beaten to death.
Initially, a case was registered at the Jagaddal police station. Later, the CBI took over the investigation.
During the probe, the Central agency had summoned eight people at the CGO Complex in Salt Lake who were later arrested.
But two women, identified as Jharna Mistry, alias
Mamoni and Pratima Ghosh, alias Mou were absconding since then.
Recently, the CBI announced a reward for those who would either help the investigating agency to nab the duo or provide their location.
