Kolkata: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of South Eastern Railway (SER) has rescued 50 minors and handed them over to their parents and to an organization that provide care to such children. The South Eastern Railway shared the information on social networking site (Facebook and Twitter) on Wednesday.
"In September, RPF personnel of SER rescued 39 minor boys and 11 minor girls and handed them over to their parents," read the SER Facebook post. SER, in a series of tweets, revealed how the RPF personnel rescued the minors. Security Control SER tweeted on Wednesday: "On October 7, 2019 on duty TTE rescue one minor boy from T/No. 58011 at KGP Rly. stn PF No. 03 and the rescue boy handed over to RPF Post/KGP Subsequently, the rescue boy handed over to Child Line/Kharagpur."
In another tweet, it was informed: "On October 8, 2019, staff of RPF Post/RNC rescue one minor girl who fled away from her home and sitting on PF No. 01 at RNC Rly. stn. Subsequently, the rescue girl handed over to Child Line/Ranchi. On October 08, 2019, staff of RPF Post/TKPR rescue one male person who was trying to suicide before local train at DSNR. RPF staff pulled out him and saved his life. The person has been handed over to his family."
