Kolkata: The Kolkata Police have summoned former CEO of Narada News, Mathew Samuel, on October 30 in connection with the Munchipara case.
It may be mentioned that he was interrogated earlier in connection with the Munchipara case in which a former Central minister from Bihar had received a call from Central Kolkata demanding extortion money of Rs 5 crore. The police had recovered some video footages from a hotel room at Munchipara using which the former minister was threatened.
Samuel, who is in Kolkata at present, has been asked to visit Munchipara police station as the investigating officers want to ask him some more questions in this connection.
He was questioned at Munchipara police station by the investigating officers for three consecutive days in June. It was learnt that Samuel had submitted certain documents to the police. The investigating officers had gone through the documents and felt the necessity of summoning him again for further interrogation.
