Kolkata: Trinamool Congress (TMC) chairperson Mamata Banerjee, on Saturday, called upon an important meeting of all the party's Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs on July 21 at her Kalighat residence.
Banerjee will discuss the party's plan of action regarding the upcoming Parliament session and vice-president elections.
The poll to elect the vice-president of the country is scheduled to be held on August 6.
"This is to inform everyone that Mamata Banerjee has called an important meeting of all AITC Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs to discuss the party's plan of action regarding the upcoming Parliament session and vice presidential election," a party statement said.
Earlier on the same day, Trinamool will hold the Martyrs' Day rally in which Banerjee will be the main speaker.
The BJP on Saturday announced the name of Jagdeep Dhankhar as NDA's candidate for vice-presidential elections.
