Kolkata: Chief Secretary Malay De is set to hold a review meeting of Agriculture and its allied departments on Thursday.
Sources said that top brass of the departments including Agriculture, Agriculture Marketing, Horticulture and Animal Resources Development, will be present in the meeting.
It has been learnt that there will be discussion on implementation of various projects that have been taken up by the departments. All the departments have been directed to prepare their respective reports containing details on different aspects of implementation of the projects.
The report will also contain a comparative study on the implementation of tasks of the last year and this financial year. There will be detailed discussion on various projects of the departments.
It may be mentioned that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee holds administrative review meetings at all districts to ensure proper implementation of projects and schemes.
It may be recalled that the Chief Minister had held a review meeting of some of the departments a few weeks ago at Nabanna Sabhaghar and checked the progress of work of the departments.
The board meeting of West Bengal Highway Development Corporation is also scheduled to be held on Wednesday, in which three issues related to arbitration, accounts and corporate social responsibility will come up.
