Narada sting: ED summons SMH Mirza

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoned the former superintendent of police of Burdwan SMH Mirza for interrogation in connection with Narada sting operation.

Mirza was questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) last week in similar connection. Besides CBI, the ED is probing into the incident to ascertain the money trail. So the investigating officers have decided to question Mirza whose name has cropped up in the sting operation. Mirza has been summoned to the ED's office at Salt lake CGO complex on Tuesday morning.

Sources said that Mirza will be going to the ED's office at around 11 am on Tuesday. CBI had questioned Mirza on Thursday and Friday. On the last day, he was asked to submit his bank account details to the investigating officers. It is learnt that ED officers will be questioning Mirza to verify the statement that they had taken from the Narada News CEO Mathew Samuel. ED officers had also questioned Syed Tazdar Ali Mirza, alias Tiger, last week and his statement will also be verified with that of Mirza.
