Kolkata: Bengal State Branch of Indian Dental Association (IDA) has bagged 'J Kapadia Best State Branch Award 2018' at the 72nd Indian Dental Conference in Indore for its exceptional performance.
IDA's state branch has once again secured the first position in the country for excelling in various fields. Dr Raju Biswas, State Secretary of IDA Bengal, received the award. Dr Biswas said: "It is an outstanding achievement for all of us that the surgeons of Bengal have bagged all the awards in every category. This will be a huge source of inspiration for the aspiring dental surgeons."
"I express my sincere gratitude to our Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for her constant support. Bengal has excelled in terms of Dentistry in her tenure of seven years. I wholeheartedly dedicate this award to our honourable Chief Minister and all the members of IDA state branch and its local branches for their enormous toil and dedication," Dr Biswas added.
It may be mentioned that the state branch performed exceptionally well in all the 6 categories of awards. IDA kolkata and the suburban branch have bagged "Swachh Mukh Abhiyan" award for their effective implementation of various oral hygiene programmes.
Besides that, the IDA Howrah branch has bagged three different awards. The best member award in the category of below 30 years of age has been bagged by Dr Shubhrangshu Halder.
