Fire breaks out at Alipore Judges Court

Kolkata: A major fire broke out on Tuesday morning at the Alipore Judges Court damaging several case records.

On Tuesday around 8:30 am, locals and security staff saw smoke coming out of the room number 13 where case records are being kept on the first floor of the two storied building. Immediately fire brigade was informed. Within five minutes four fire tenders were pressed in to action. After almost three hours fire fighters were able to control the fire.

Later it was found that several case records got damaged due to fire.

Though no one is injured, few staff are suspecting something unusual as the fire only damaged the record room. Fire fighters suspectvthat the fire may have broken out due to short circuit in the electric wire. However, police are fire brigade officials are probing the incident to ascertain the cause of fire and whether any foul play could be found.
