Balurghat: A middle aged person allegedly stabbed his son to death on Sunday night after being unable to bear continuous mental and physical torture for money over the past couple of days.
The incident took place in Majhat village under Dalkhola police station in North Dinajpur district. Police already arrested the accused father Bulai Soren on charges of killing Mangal Soren, 25. The accused Bulai confessed his crime and said he was continuously tortured by his son Mangal for money. Father and son used to quarrel every day on petty issues.
On Sunday night, a heated exchange took place between the two, Bulai refused to pay him money. On being refused by his father, Mangal started beating him up. In a fit of anger, distressed Bulai picked the sickle and started stabbing him till death.
Police went to the spot and arrested the accused. The son was taken to the hospital where he was declared brought dead.
