Drugs smuggling racket unearthed, 3 arrested

Kolkata: The Anti-Narcotics Cell of Kolkata Police arrested three youth including one employee of a hotel in Mumbai on charges of their involvement in a drug smuggling racket.
The trio was arrested from in front of a five-star hotel on Park Street on late Friday night.
Police said the accused Gunjan Kumar Singh (25) is a resident of Hazaribag in Jharkhand and he used to work at a hotel in Mumbai.
The other two - Urvil Jaiswal, alias, Shyam and Subhasish Naskar of Narendrapur in South 24-Parganas were also arrested when all three of them were standing outside the five star hotel on Park Street.
Police seized a total of 11.6 gm MDMA from their possession and suspect that they were standing in front of the hotel to pass the consignment to a person who was supposed to buy the narcotic substances from them.
It may be recalled that eight more were arrested on similar connection on March 13 and the police have come to know about Gunjan, Urvil and Subhasish from those eight.
