Kolkata: Mystery continues in Archanan Palangdar murder case at Anandapur.
After the arrest of Ashis Yadav, an employee of a hotel in New Market area on Friday, Archana's partner Balaram Keshri's body was found from Nonadanga, adjacent to Eastern Metropolitan Bypass on Saturday. Later during interrogation, Yadav told sleuths about two more persons who helped him to dump the body using an app cab.
Sources informed that Archana might have known Yadav for quite a long time. Yadav stated that Archana and Keshri got involved in an altercation in the morning of September 19, the day of murder.
Later, Keshri murdered Archana and committed suicide. After the bodies were discovered, an app cab was called. Two more hotel staff identified as Harihar Mahato and Yadu Prasad got involved. With their help, Yadav loaded the bodies in the cab and went to dump them.
At first Archana's body was dumped near Chowbaga. Later, they went to Nonadanga to dump Keshri's body.
Meanwhile, the hotel room was cleaned by hotel staff as instructed. Sleuths are on the lookout for Mahato and Prasad and the cab which was used to dump the bodies.
On Saturday and Sunday, police interrogated the owner of the hotel and seized the guest register. Sleuths suspect that Archana was known to the hotel authority, which is denied by the hotel owner.
Previously, while interrogating Archana's husband Pintu Palangdar investigators got to know about Archana's extramarital affair.
Keshri's family has been called by police to identify the body. Though traces of poison were found in his stomach during autopsy, the viscera is being preserved for examination as the body was found in a highly decomposed state in order to be more precise.
Until Sunday, none of the family members have identified the body but police are almost sure that the body found on Saturday is Keshri's because the blanket found wrapped around the body is the same one around Archana's.
