About 1,62,992 Covid patients recover so far

Kolkata: The recovery rate of Covid patients in Bengal reached 85.76 per cent on Wednesday. which is the highest so far.

Around 2,967 patients have been released from various hospitals in the past 24

hours.

More than 1,62,992 Covid patients in Bengal have recovered from the disease so far out of the total infected patients of 1,90,063. Bengal has carried out 42,642 Covid tests in the past 24 hours.

The total number of sample tests carried out by the state has reached 22,85,936. The percentage of positive cases out of sample tested however stands at 8.31 per cent.

Around 3,107 new Covid cases have been found in the past 24 hours. Bengal has seen 53 Covid deaths in the past 24 hours. The total death toll

so far in the state has reached 3,730.

Kolkata has registered 554 new Covid cases in the past 24 hours. As many as 16 people died in the city in the past 24 hours. The total number of infected patients in Kolkata has so far reached 44,476. North 24-Parganas saw 570 new cases on Wednesday while the total number of cases in North 24-Parganas so far reached 39,438. North 24-Parganas has seen 10 deaths in the past 24 hours.

Howrah has so far seen a total 14,567 Covid cases so far out of which 145 have been affected in the past 24 hours. South 24-Parganas has registered 152 Covid cases in the past 24 hours.

Hooghly has witnessed 156 Covid cases in the past 24 hours while the total

tally from the district reached 9,293. Darjeeling registered 57 new Covid cases on

Wednesday and the total number of infected patients reached 5,828.

Alipurduar has registered 78 new cases while Coochbehar saw 91 new Covid cases in the past 24 hours.

The total Covid cases in Coochbehar reached 3,954 and Alipurduar 3,010.

The total number of dedicated Covid hospitals in the state has reached 92

while the number of beds earmarked for Covid has gone up to 12,385.

There are currently 32.93 per cent occupancy of Covid beds in the state. State government has so far set up 200 Safe Homes and 582 quarantine centers across Bengal.
