Darjeeling: Three college students have been arrested in Siliguri for allegedly posting a controversial video clip on a social networking site. For the past few days, a video clip showing a youth with his face covered making alleged anti-national statements was doing the rounds on social media and came to the notice of police.
The Bhaktinagar police station started investigating the same and arrested Prasanjit Acharya, Akash Das and Asit Modak in connection with the video clip. The trio are residents of Bhanunagar and are students of Surya Sen College. They were booked for anti-national activities and produced at the Jalpaiguri Court on Tuesday. They have been sent to jail custody for 14 days.
