Kolkata: Three persons were arrested on charges of blocking and clamping an embassy vehicle at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International (NSCBI) Airport in Kolkata on Thursday morning.
According to sources, Airport car parking contractor Babu Lal spotted a car standing at the 'no parking' area in front of the terminal of the airport for more than 5 minutes. Finding no one inside the car, he clamped the wheels of the vehicle at 10.30 am.
After a few minutes, the driver of the Myanmar embassy car asked Lal to remove the clamp as he was exempted from paying parking fee. The parking contractor started arguing with the driver. Later, police was informed and Lal was forced to open the clamp.
Three persons, including Lal, were arrested and later granted bail at the police station.
