Rs 25 lakh robbed from trader in northwest Delhi; investigation on

New Delhi: A 47-year-old trader was allegedly robbed of Rs 25 lakh by two bike-borne men in northwest Delhi’s Subhash Place area, police said on Friday. The victim, Mangal Sen, was intercepted, overpowered and robbed while returning on his motorcycle. A PCR call alerted police, who reached the spot. A case has been registered, and CCTV footage is being scanned to identify the accused.

Bike-borne assailants fire shots; rob man, grandson of Rs 1 lakh

New Delhi: Two motorcycle-borne assailants allegedly fired in the air and robbed a man and his grandfather of around Rs 1 lakh in east Delhi’s Madhu Vihar on April 9, police said on Friday. The incident occurred near a banquet hall in Joshi Colony when the family returned home from Noida and had just alighted from their vehicle. The accused threatened them with a firearm, snatched a bag containing cash and fled. A family member briefly chased them, hitting their motorcycle. The assailants escaped on foot, abandoning the bag and weapon, both later recovered. An FIR has been registered.
