South 24-Pgns: 70 crates of semi-processed baby sharks recovered
Kolkata: The South 24-Parganas Forest division has recovered 70 crates of semi-processed baby sharks based on source information on Wednesday late night at Baliara, Frasergunze. Two persons namely Akash Das of Haripur, Kakdwip and Ranjit Bag of Gobindapur, Sagar were arrested. The duo were produced before ACJM Kakdwip on Thursday and was remanded to 7 days of judicial custody. An investigation is on to unearth the racket.
Metro rake gets stuck at Kalighat Stn due to tech glitch
Kolkata: Due to technical glitch, a Dumdum-bound Metro rake got stuck at Kalighat Metro for around 15 minutes on Thursday. According to officials, the situation was quickly taken control of and no further delays were caused in the Metro services in the North-South Corridor. The passengers complained of being troubled due to the delay. A passenger said that the gates were not closing and they were confused on whether to get off the Metro or wait further.
