The decomposed body of a 4-year old girl was found from a house in New Town area of North 24 Parganas district on Wednesday.
DCDD Bidhannagar police <g data-gr-id="10">Commissionerate</g> <g data-gr-id="11">Kankar</g> Prasad <g data-gr-id="12">Barui</g> said the girl was missing since the morning of October 12, the Mahalaya day.
The body, with cloth stuffed in mouth, was recovered from a <g data-gr-id="13">roof top</g> store room of her neighbour’s house, where scrap materials are kept, during search operation by police and her parents, he said.
