Woman thrashed by lady guards for re-entering queue

Two female guards posted at the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial hospital in Outer Delhi’s Mangolpuri area allegedly brutally thrashed a woman for trying to get into a queue on Monday. Police have registered a case under Sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 341 (wrongful restrain) of the Indian Penal Code at the Mangolpuri police station, confirmed senior police officers of the Outer district.

According to the two videos in possession with Millennium Post, the two female guards are seen pulling the woman by her hair as well as beating her. On the other hand, the patients and the people present there are seen watching the female guards beating the patient like mute spectators. 

The woman, reportedly a resident of Hari Enclave, had come to the state government hospital regarding treatment of her son when she got out of the line to drink water. When she joined the line again,the female guards took her aside and thrashed her.

Meanwhile, the Sub-Division Magistrate Rohini has been asked to carry out a probe. A case under relevant sections of the IPC has been filed against the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial hospital. 

According to the senior police officials, they are scanning through the videos and will be interrogating the female guards who are seen in the video. Further investigation is underway.
