A 45-year-old woman who was stuck in an 8-10 feet deep drain in East Delhi’s Geeta Colony area was rescued by a team of PCR who heard her cries. The woman reportedly was found without clothes when she was rescued.
“The woman was later on identified and after counselling it was found that she was mentally disturbed. However, nothing foul is suspected. There was no attempt to suicide, no physical assault,” said an officer investigating the incident.
The incident took place at about 4.45 am when a PCR van was patrolling in the area near Geeta Colony flyover.
The officials in the PCR van heard the cries of a woman from a nearby drain which was 8-10 feet deep filled with mud and water.
