An unidentified body of a middle-aged woman was found in a gunny bag lying on the Parda Bagh footpath on Netaji Subhash Marg area of Central Delhi’s Dariyaganj on Friday afternoon. A murder case has been registered and investigation is on to identify her. As per initial investigation, she seems to belong to a North-Eastern state. Police have not ruled out the possibility of sexual assault yet as they are waiting for the post-mortem reports.
According to initial reports, the woman’s body was found at around 12.45 pm on Friday. Reported to be in the age group of 25-30 years, she was wearing a white T-shirt and black leggings. Her hands and legs were bound by a rope while a pink shawl was found to be tied around her neck, police said.
“We have sent the woman’s body for post-mortem. There were no injury marks on her,” said a senior police officer.
