A TMC leader was shot dead by miscreants in front of his party office at Raipur in Bankura on Thursday night. Police said Anil Mahatao was sitting in front of party office when some miscreants came and shot him from the point blank. His colleagues found him lying in a pool of blood. District TMC leaders alleged that Maoists could have been involved in the incident. Police are yet to confirm the motive behind the murder.
