Delhi deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia inaugurated the Centre for Skill Enhancement at ITI Pusa on Wednesday.

“In the fast changing technological world, the way forward is industrial collaborations,” said Sisodia. He further added that more such centres should be established to minimise the gap between the industry requirements and the skills of trainees passing out of the system. This centre has been established in collaboration with Maruti Suzuki India Ltd who has been in partnership with DTTE since 2005 when they signed the first MoU under Centre of Excellence scheme with ITI Pusa.

The two specialised courses — Auto Body Repair and Auto Body Painting — under car service and repair are being offered for the first time by ITI Pusa in Delhi. He also informed that the government is taking all efforts to make training as per industrial needs and many MoUs with leading national and international partners have been signed and further possibilities are being explored.

Meanwhile, the deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia will take care of the day-to-day affairs of the Delhi government for 10 days in the Chief Minister’s absence. A senior government official said that Kejriwal’s cough has worsened since the winter started. He is presently visiting Jindal Nature Cure Institute in Bengaluru for undergoing naturopathy treatment. The 47-year-old AAP National Convener had undergone 12 days of naturopathy treatment at the same institute for chronic cough and diabetes in March last year.
