Local police have busted a prostitution racket that ran its operations in a prominent mall located on the Mehrauli-Gurgaon road. Six girls were arrested from a ‘spa and massage’ parlour called Antra Beauty, which ran its operations inside DT city centre mall.
‘We constituted a team after receiving secret information about a sex racket that was being operated within the premises of the mall, under the garb of a spa and massage parlour. The owner identified as Kamta, a resident of Gurgaon was involved in it. Some call girls, aged between 20-22 years and natives of Nagaland and Manipur, were often active during evening hours.
The police constituted a team and raided the massage parlour situated at second floor of the mall on Tuesday at around 6:45 pm. The police arrested six call girls and a customer identified as Rahul, a resident of Gurgaon.
The police examined the CCTV camera footage at the mall during their investigations, since the racket was being operated from within the mall. Some condom packets were also recovered from the parlour.
According to the senior official of Gurgaon police, ‘the sex racket was operated in a hidden manner as no one could doubt a spa and massage parlour. During evening hours, only selected customers, sent by pimps, arrived. The number given outside the parlour was used for dealing with customers by the owner’.
‘We have sent a notice to the Kamta, the owner of the parlour to join the police for further investigation. She has not been arrested in the matter till now. After a case was registered against the call girls under immoral traffic act in sector-29 police station. They were produced before the city court, which then sent them to judicial custody’, said a senior police official from Gurgaon police.
