Cabinet agrees to look into factory owners' plot disputes

Update: 2017-03-03 20:02 GMT
The Cabinet on Friday has principally agreed to look into the problems that small and big factory owners were facing due to disputes with the plots on which their units are situated. The decision has been taken to ensure smooth functioning of factories and to ensure that the owners could expand their businesses that would lead to generation of employment. There are still disputes on the land where the factories had been running for years. Due to the disputes, the owners faced difficulty in getting loans and other clearances to expand their businesses. Thus, the state government is taking the step to iron out the existing disputes. Moreover, the step will give a clear message about the positive approach to create job opportunities in the state. A committee has been formed for proper execution of the decision that has been taken in Friday's Cabinet meeting. The committee will be headed by Parliamentary Affairs minister Partha Chatterjee. A road map will be prepared in 10 days.
