Kolkata: The upcoming Bengali flick 'Uronchondi' will be screened with subtitles after the CBFC Kolkata in a fresh development mentioned the two words in the certification.
The makers had claimed on Friday that the CBFC Kolkata office had only issued certification for the film without any mention of subtitles.
The film's associate producer Srijoni Roy told PTI that the CBFC Kolkata later contacted the films producers to inform that the two words 'with subtitles' will be added with the original certification copy.
"We have also received the certification card where the words 'with subtitles' have been included. The film can now be screened with subtitles from August 3," Roy said.
In the earlier certification card CBFC Kolkata office had only mentioned 'Uronchondi (Bengali) (Colour) (2-D)' despite the makers having submitted the subtitled version of 'Uronchandi' for online certification on July 11/12.
"We are happy over the developments since yesterday and we will not suffer financially any more as a large segment of non-Bengali audience will now be able to watch the film in theatres and the film can be distributed digitally," Roy said.
