Youth involved in criminal activities shot dead in Ggm

Gurugram: A 22-year-old person identified as Manihar was shot dead near Gurugram in Pataudi on Thursday morning.

His bloodied body was seen by a morning walker Ved Praksh who later informed about the incident to the police.

His identification was ascertained by the law enforcement officials by the driving license he was carrying along with a thousand rupee notes.

According to law enforcement officials, his killers shot him at a point-blank range on his frontal.

The police later found out that Manihar too was involved in criminal activities which also involved contractual killings. The police have sent the body for post mortem and are waiting for more detail from the official's reports that will be submitted.

Moreover investigations are also on by the law enforcement officials to find out that was the crime carried out by Manihar's rivals or was it an the attempt of a burglary gone wrong.

The incident, however, resulted in Rajesh Kumar DCP (Manesar) and Bir Singh ACP (Manesar) visiting the area and seeking the report from the officials.

The police have registered the case under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code and have begun their investigation.

"We are speaking to the deceased family to know that was he in enmity with someone who may have killed him. Our officials have also come to know that Manihar was also involved in criminal activities. Just recently he was involved in the shootout incident where the victim survived. Maybe it may have been a retaliation of that incident," said a senior official from Gurugram police.

The the incident of shootout in the busy streets of Gurugram is not a new phenomenon.

In a worrying trend, the brazen incidents are not only reported from the outskirts of the city but even in densely populated areas of MG Road, Sohna Road, Jharsa road, and Sector-9 A.

In the past, dreaded gangsters, gangster's spouse, realtors, former journalist has been eliminated by their rivals through this criminal act.
