Greater Noida: A 32-year-old youth, a functionary of Hindu Yuva Vahini local wing, was allegedly found dead with bullet injuries in his head in Dankaur area of Greater Noida on Wednesday.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Sandeep Nagar, a native of Atta Gujran village in Dankaur area.
The incident came to light on early Wednesday morning when a few morning walkers saw the body of a youth lying along the roadside a few meters away from Atta Gibran Village. Immediately, they alerted police and locals persons and the body was identified to be of
Nagar.
Victim's family was informed who told police that Nagar was at home on Tuesday night when two men from their neighbourhood came to meet him and Nagar went missing after that. The family have alleged that the two men have taken money from the deceased against which they have murdered him.
A member of Hindu Yuva Vahini local wing in Greater Noida informed that Nagar had been a part of Hindu vahini from 2010 to 2017 and served as district Vice President in Gautam Buddh Nagar district. However, he had left the party and also filed his nomination in Jila Panchayat elections. He had also been a part of Kisan sangathan in the district.
"Preliminary investigations showed that the crime has been committed after an altercation broke out between the accused and deceased while having drinks. The deceased is not part of Hindu Vahini and investigations are underway," said a senior police officer.
