Gurugram: After successful completion of developmental works at Golf Course Road and Sohna road, the Haryana government is all set to invest in Sohna road. The ambitious project that will be key to ensuring connectivity in Delhi-Mumbai corridor will have the investment put in by the state as well as the Central government. The total amount of investment in the projects is slated to be around Rs 1,100 crore. Besides extending the width of the road, there are also plans to build two elevated flyovers at the busy route. The project would be completed in one-and-a-half years and the work is expected to begin in July.

With Gurugram being the major point in the Delhi-Mumbai corridor, this is the third major project where the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) along with the state government will invest to revamp the city roads. The NHAI has already built a number of flyovers and underpasses at the city's busiest points along the Delhi- Jaipur highway.
