New Delhi: A woman was allegedly harassed by a group of boys in South Delhi while she was returning home after a party with friends on Saturday night. The woman alleged that two boys in the car followed and chased her before threatening her with wickets while she was alone just metres away from her home. The woman in her FB post has narrated her ordeal and also accused the cops of fighting over jurisdiction. The woman, a Delhi resident, claimed that while she turned left to the BRT, the boys who were waiting for her to take a turn. They sped towards her and bumped her car before speeding away.
"I instantly felt uneasy and called my husband to immediately come to where I was. Luckily, our home was just around the corner and I knew he would be there in no time. These boys waited ahead for my car to pass (I saw them as I passed) but then at a great speed they came and swerved in front of my car, parked sideways so I couldn't pass," said the woman.
The woman claimed that not only did they block her way, one of the boys also got out holding a wicket in his hand and started gesturing at her to get out of the car. They also started screaming asking her to come out of the car. The woman reversed and tried to go from the side but a second boy jumped out from the passenger side, also with a wicket in his hand, and was screaming and telling me to get out. Both the number plates (back and front) were covered with a piece of cloth.
The woman said that the boy further shouted about his father's position and kept pulling out his father's visiting card. "I started calling the cops to come and tried in vain for 45 minutes. I made six calls and talked to six different people. All of them pretended that they had no idea where Moolchand, Chirag Delhi, BRT or Archana were and so they couldn't come," the woman said.
Later, when the cops came, she alleged that they started fighting over the jurisdiction issues. However, she later lodged a formal complaint with the police.
