New Delhi: IPS Sanjay Kumar Singh lodged a complaint with Delhi Police that his UK Visa has been stolen from his passport. Singh was to undergo training conducted by National Police Academy Hyderabad in collaboration with Cambridge University, UK in London from June 4 to June 9, 2018.
Singh said that the passport carrying the UK Visa was kept in his suitcase in Hyderabad, after completing the NPA portion of MCTP training in Hyderabad, Singh first went to Bhubhneshwar and from there he flew to Delhi. However, at the time of check-in at Air India counter it was noticed by AI staff that the visa is missing from the passport. When Singh gave a closer look he found that the page carrying the visa was missing from his passport. The IPS officer posted as Additional Commissioner of Police, Bhubhneshwar Cuttak in Odisha was suspicious that someone stole the visa. The officer then went to IGI Airport to lodge a formal police complaint on June 2. The Delhi police has registered a case of theft and is inquiring the incident.
