The Greenopolis was conceptualised when two builders 3C and Orris builders partnered with each other to set up the project in 2011. It was promised to the homebuyers that the project will be delivered in 2014 but the paucity of funds, differences between the two builders resulted in the stalling of the project.

Ever since it has was formed the resolution of the Greenopolis project is one of the foremost demands of the homebuyers through HRERA. Despite several fines and warning levied by the governing body there has been no alacrity was shown by the builders in completing the project which ultimately led HRERA to take the decision.

To prevent a situation wherein the builders who have defaulted on the payments, the DTCP planning has begun the process of making a note of these builders.

Significant information that includes detail of aadhaar and PAN card, passport are being obtained to prevent any eventualities of builders leaving the country.

A recent RTI had revealed that in just year that is from March 2017 to March 2018 the pending External Development Charges have increased from Rs 13,855 crore to Rs 15,250 crore.
