New Delhi: Delhi Police have registered three cases into the case where a scuffle broke out between members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and members of some Left-affiliated student political bodies at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on Friday, during the screening of a documentary film.
Confirming the details Deputy Commissioner of Police (North West) Milind Dumbere stated that they have registered three FIRs under different sections.
Cops had received 13 complaints in the matter and after analyzing them, two cases were registered.
A third case was registered on the basis of a complaint by a security guard who sustained a fracture in his leg.
The screening of the film, reportedly over 'love jihad', was organised in the JNU campus on Friday. Minor scuffles had erupted between the protesters and ABVP members.
