Thief held for stealing Luxury CarS

New Delhi: Delhi Police has arrested a criminal, identified as Wahid, for stealing luxury cars from posh areas in Delhi. The accused who was initially

a shawl vendor, entered into crime and started

stealing expensive high-end cars to earn quick money. Accused used to target cars parked in the residential area of Delhi NCR and dispose them to receivers of Bulandshahr. Accused used to break down the lock of the car with the help of a screwdriver. Thereafter, accused persons used to remove the battery connection of the car by the opening the bonnet and break the steering lock with the help of battery-operated drill machine. Accused possess a separate set of ECM and steering lock set to operate the ignition switch of the car. Thereafter, with

the help of preoccupied ECM, accused used to start the vehicle and took the car to his village at

Bulandshahr.

After stealing the car, accused Wahid used to change the number plate of the car and tamper its engine & chassis number. Thereafter, accused used to dispose of the vehicle to receivers. Accused Wahid was never arrested earlier and from his house, 04 more luxury cars alongwith equipment to steal the car, car locks & several numbers of plates were recovered.
