Teachers' delegation in Singapore for training

NEW DELHI: The education department of Delhi government sent the first batch of teachers to Singapore's National Institute of Education for training. The government has decided to send nearly 200 teachers for training. The aim of this initiative is that these teachers will implement the learnings for the betterment of the government school students.
"Delhi govt school teachers are attending a training in Singapore University. I am hoping that they transform their schools when they return," said Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia. The minister informed that this time the government would send 200 teachers of government schools and in the first batch they sent 25 teachers. This is the first batch of teachers to reach the Singapore and if the procedure becomes successful then the government will expand the initiative. Welcoming the initiative, the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, "I am so happy that our teachers getting the best training in the world. They will come back motivated and become agents of the change in our education system."
A source in the government explained that this is the first time in Delhi that government school teachers are getting international level training and also the government is investing the resources for these teachers.
