NEW DELHI: Finland's Minister of Environment Energy and Housing Kimmo Tiilikainen, along with a six-member delegation, visited the NTPC power plant Dadri on Saturday.
The delegation, which included Ambassador of Finland to India Nina Vaskunlahti, was received by RS Rathee, Regional Executive Director (DBF/Hydro) and AK Das, Group General Manager, NTPC Dadri.
Das said the main objective of the visit was to enhance collaboration between the two countries in the energy sector, especially renewable energy.
Tiilikainen and the delegates said they looked forward for possibilities on improving efficiency and productivity of the current system by incorporating new technology.
He showed keen interest in bringing NTPC closer to Finnish companies, so as to exchange technologies in the area of renewable energy and help to achieve Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of clean and sustainable energy by 2022.
Tiilikainen and the delegates visited the Control Room of Coal station Stage-II, Control Room of Gas Station and were briefed about the Power Plant operation.
