NEW DELHI: Ruckus was reported in Delhi Metro when a man tried to snatch his 2 months old baby from the arms of his estranged wife in Delhi Metro.
Soon, he got in a scuffle with his inlaws who were taking the woman along from Faridabad where the couple sued to stay.
The violet line was delayed a little when the CISF men entered at the JNL Stadium metro station and took the man and some of the woman's relative along with them.
The wife said, "My husband used to beat me up and now that I am leaving with my family he is creating a scene in the metro, I don't want to be with him."
Passengers were puzzled seeing a sudden fight between a group of men. It took them some time to realise that it was the husband who wanted to take his child. When some passengers intervened. The couple got married two years back in Bihar's Arrah district and since then according to the wife her husband picked up a fight with her and also regularly beat her up. "The couple earlier had a boy which died and this was the second baby, things have worsened in the past few months and we had no alternative than to take the woman with us, the husband followed and tried to snatch the baby in the coach," said a relative. Later, CISF staff got the men out of the coach.
