RK Singh takes over as YEIDA and NIAL CEO

Greater Noida: Newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), Rakesh Kumar Singh, assumed the position on Tuesday following the completion of Arunvir Singh’s term on June 30. RK Singh has also been entrusted with the role of CEO at Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL). Singh, a senior IAS officer from the 2009 batch, was appointed District Magistrate of Moradabad after the BJP government came to power in the state. During his tenure there, he effectively handled various communal issues. He subsequently served as District Magistrate in Ghaziabad and later in Kanpur. Additionally, he has held the position of Municipal Commissioner in Lucknow, Ghaziabad and Aligarh.

Before this appointment, Singh served as Secretary to the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and was Additional CEO of YEIDA from 2015 to 2016. Upon taking charge, he said his priority is expediting work on the near-operational Noida International Airport, resolving delayed housing possessions, and ensuring timely land acquisition in line with

established regulations.
