Noida 'encounter': 6 booked for life threat to cop's family

Noida: The Gautam Buddh Nagar police on Thursday registered an FIR against six persons after receiving a complaint from the wife of trainee sub inspector who has been accused of shooting at a 25-year-old gym trainer in Noida's sector 122. As per the complaint, Chetna Gaur, wife of trainee sub inspector Vijay Dharshan Sharma, has been receiving life threats via emails and messages on her Facebook account. The complainant alleged that she has been receiving posts containing open life threats to kill his husband, and family members, said police.
"We have registered a FIR after receiving a complaint from the wife of sub inspector Sharma, under the Information Technology (IT) Act. She said that she received several open threat posts from various Facebook accounts who have been made on the name of Roshan Yadav, Raju Yadav, Rajesh Yadav and three others," said Akhilesh Pradhan, SHO, Surajpur police station.
The officer added that they received some screenshots copies along with the complaint by Chetna and has asked Facebook officials about the details of these accounts and are seeking help from the cyber cell to track their IP address.
Earlier on Thursday, hundreds of residents and members of various political parties gheraoed the office of Gautam Buddh Nagar district magistrate demanding justice for the gym trainer Jitendra Yadav.
