No fresh COVID-19 case reported in GB Nagar

GB NAGAR: A total of 46 reports of suspected COVID-19 patients were received in Gautam Buddh Nagar on Tuesday and all have tested negative, said officials of district health department. However, on Monday, the district has  reported a sharpest spike with 16 positive COVID-19 cases reported in a single day taking the total number of positive cases to 80.  "All the reports that we received on Tuesday were neg- ative. However, a Delhi resident who had given his samples in Noida was the only person tested positive on Tuesday,"  said Rakesh Chauhan, district Information Officer (DIO) of GB Nagar. Around 244 samples were received on Monday out of which 16 were confirmed pos-  itive. These include two peo- ple who attended the Tablighi Jamaat congregation in Delhi's Nizamuddin are among. By far, the two new cases related to tablighi jamaat, the GB Nagar  district saw its first cases related to this cluster who has contributed to the maximum cases in the country.

Of the 16 new cases, nine are reported from Sector 5 and 8 in Noida and linked to private  firm Cease Fire limited com- pany in sector 135 of Noida,which has been sealed and is already under government scanner for triggering a chain  of cases. Meanwhile, officials said that eleven patients have been cured and discharged on Tuesday adding that 55 people are undergoing treatment.
