Nine gangsters of Neeraj Bawania gang arrested

New Delhi: Delhi Police on Friday said that they have arrested nine gangsters of Neeraj Bawania gang from Rohini district. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) SD Mishra said on August 7, beat constable Hawa Singh, of Kanjhawala police station was on patrolling duty in the area of Village Jaunti in the evening hours. During patrolling, he noticed two cars with some men entering into an inherently deserted house.

"While keeping a discrete watch on the place, he immediately informed his senior officers. On this information, a raiding party of police officials of police station Kanjhawala was constituted," said DCP Mishra.

The team immediately rushed to the Village Jaunti and cordoned off the premises and nine culprits present in the premises were nabbed. Five pistols and 20 live cartridges were recovered from their possession.

Further, two axes (Farsa) were also recovered from the luxury cars of the criminals. DCP further added that during interrogation, the accused spilled the beans and confessed that they carried out the assigned criminal tasks, activities at the behest of their gang leader Neeraj Bawania, who operates and monitors all their criminal activities. "It was also revealed that the resource starved gang aimed at carrying out certain spontaneous and fast earning criminal heists such as robberies etc in the area. They were planning to rob a few petrol pumps operating in the area in one go, obtain some money and resources in this way and move out of the area," police said.
