NEW DELHI: Delhi Police on Friday apprehended a juvenile in connection with the murder of a 21-year-old Delhi university student, whose body was found in a drain in Dwarka on Thursday.
On Thursday, police had arrested Ishtiyak, a 26-year-old man for bludgeoning the the DU student to death.
Ishtiyak was produced before a court on Friday and sent to two-day police custoday.
Police said that the juvenile helped Ishtiyak to dispose off the student's body, who is believed to have been beaten to death by a hammer by the accused.
Cops had said that Ishtiyak, on March 22, killed Ayush Nautiyal and, to cover up his crime, tried to pass his disappearance of as a case of kidnapping, to dodge investigators.
The accused sent a WhatsApp message to Nautiyal's family demanding a ransom of Rs 50 lakh. Several police teams were formed to arrest the accused, and he was nabbed on Thursday.
