New Delhi: A one-and-a-half-year-old boy was murdered in Fatehpur Beri area of South Delhi. Police said that they have apprehended a minor in the case. The investigating agency said that the accused child (8.5) had grudges after the incident where the deceased's sister fell down accused's younger brother. So, in order to take revenge, the accused killed the deceased.
According to police on April 27 morning, they received a PCR call at Fatehpur Beri police station regarding a missing child.
During the enquiry, it was revealed that the deceased, who was sleeping with his mother and sister on the roof, had gone missing from his house in Mandi Village in the night between 1 am to 4 am.
Deputy Commissioner of Police ( South) Vijay Kumar said that another boy (8.5 years old) who was a tenant in the neighbouring house was also found missing.
Later during the search, the dead body of the deceased child was recovered from the drain near the house.
"Injuries were conspicuous over right eye, abdomen and leg. Blood was also seeping out from the right ear. The body has been got preserved in the mortuary, AIIMS.
A case under section 363 (Punishment for kidnapping) and 302 (Punishment for murder)of Indian Penal Code has been registered at Fatehpur Beri police station and investigation has been taken up.
During probe role of another boy came out and later police nabbed him.
"Another boy who was also found missing as above is found involved in this crime. He has been traced on the same morning. Further investigation is on," police said.
DCP South added that he has a grudge that a few days back elder sister of the deceased boy caused his younger brother fell down on the floor which caused a minor swelling on his
head.
"He will be produced to JJB from his home only," said DCP South.
