Gurugram: A 25-year-old woman named Seema was killed brutally by another woman just because she was jealous of the deceased being the first wife of the person she married to. In a horrific case that has emerged from Devi Lal colony of Gurugram, the decomposed body of Seema was found in A gunny bag.
It was later found that she was beaten with grinding stone. Subsequently, the Gurugram police arrested 30-year-old Pooja who admitted to her crime. According to Police the widow had married Saroj Paswan who was already married to Seema.
Despite pestering Saroj to divorce Seema, Saroj refused and asked both his first and second wide to live together in a rented room in Devi Lal colony. Taking cognizance of the fact that the marriage may not be legally acceptable, Pooja finally thought of killing Seema.
Finding an opportune moment when Saroj along with his children from his first marriage had gone to his native place in Bihar, she beat the victim several times with a grinding stone till she lay dead on the night of September 23.
In order to make sure that her crime was covered, she then hid the body under a gunny bag. She was however caught by the law enforcement officials, charged under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and sent to Bhondsi jail.
Pooja's husband died four years ago and she had two children from her first marriage. They were staying with their paternal grandparents. She had recently married Saroj.
The deceased too had three children who had gone with their father to Bihar at the time of her death.
