Man murdered by wife & cousin, body found in drain

NEW DELHI: In a sensational murder case of South Delhi's Maidan Garhi area, police solved the case in just three days and have arrested deceased's wife and his cousin in connection of killing. They have been identified as Prema (42) and cousin Bikesh (28), Firozabad, Uttar Pardesh.

The body of 42-year-old man was found in a drain in Zanda Colony on March 14, the police said. Police later identified deceased as Kuldeep alias Dabba of the same locality.

"On enquiry, it was revealed that the deceased used to live in a rented accommodation with his wife, 12-year-old boy and his cousin. His residence was visited by the police team but none of his family members were found. The team started to trace his absconding wife and cousin," said DCP South Delhi Atul Kumar Thakur.

"After a massive search operation by all the teams in the vicinity, the police team succeeded in apprehension of the absconding wife and cousin of the deceased person," DCP said.

"On sustained interrogation, both of them disclosed that a while back the deceased had a quarrel with his wife and cousin brother Bikesh," DCP further said.

In the evening of 13 March, After Bikesh had liquor, both the accused persons planned to kill the deceased and then strangulated the deceased.
