Man held with half kg heroin

NEW DELHI: Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested one member of an interstate gang of drug traffickers identified as 29-year-old Rashid Khan, a resident of Behra village in District Bareilly, UP. The police have also recovered 500 gram of fine quality heroin from his possession.

An information was received by Delhi Police on August 21 that one person namely Rashid Khan is indulged in the supply of heroin in Delhi and NCR after procuring it from Bareilly, UP. The information was further entailed that he would come Near bus stand, Indira Gandhi Stadium, road towards Rajghat, Delhi between 10:15 am to 10:45 am, for supplying huge consignment of heroin to someone.

"A trap was laid near bus stand, Indira Gandi Stadium, road towards Rajghat, Delhi and one Rashid Khan was apprehended at the instance of the informer. During a search of Rashid Khan, 500 Gram Heroin was recovered," said Bhishm Singh, DCP Crime.
