New Delhi: An 18-year-old man was apprehended by the Central Industrial Security Force at Arjangarh metro station for allegedly carrying 19 small packets of contraband items appeared to be charas weighing around 192 gms on Monday.
According to the CISF official, they have detected nineteen small packets of contraband items appears to be charas ( 192 gms) from the possession of a passenger concealed in his trouser pockets.
"On enquiry, the apprehended passenger revealed that he was originally a resident of Nepal and presently staying in Defence Colony, Delhi. He further revealed that he had come to Arjangarh metro station to catch metro towards INA metro station," official said.
"He also disclosed that his friend gave him the said contraband item (Charas) for further deliver to a person in INA," official added. Subsequently, the message was passed to the senior officer of CISF and DMRP, he added.
Later, Raju along-with recovered contraband item 'Charas' was handed over to DMRP for further legal action in the matter, official added.
