Man from Bihar killed in car crash

New Delhi: A speeding car crashed on to a wall in Rohini's Narela in north west Delhi on Saturday, killing the driver on impact, who was taken out of the car by a truck driver before it caught fire. Police said a call was received at 1.24 am on Saturday about the accident, claiming that a man was injured near gate no. 4 of Anaj Mandi in Narela. Soon, police teams and firefighters brigade rushed to the spot and found the car to be on flames. "During enquiry, we came to know that the deceased was driving the car at a very high speed and hit the wall of the ganda nala. "He was taken out from the car by a truck driver, before sparks from the car set it on fire. The man was declared brought dead at SRHC Hospital." said DCP Rohini Rajneesh Gupta said on Saturday. Gupta appreciated the exemplary courage shown by the truck driver, but said that the victim succumbed to the injuries on his forehead and knees, sustained in the crash. "The deceased was identified as 23-year-old Anand, a resident of Muzaffarpur district of Bihar," the senior policeman added. "We have registered a case under section 279 and 304A of the IPC. The family of the deceased has been informed and the body sent for post-mortem," he added
