Man dressed as woman objects to teasing, stabbed to death

New Delhi: Wearing ghunghroo and dressing like a woman proved costly for a 22-year-old man who was taken to the jungle and brutally murdered after he resisted teasing by a group of hooligans in South-East Delhi's Okhla Industrial area. The deceased Kalua was stabbed by seven including three juveniles using a Swiss aknife.
It was on the intervening night of May 22 and 23 when at around 2 am Kalua dressed in black was stopped by the hooligans of the area who were all in inebriated state. The accused started making fun of his dressing. He told them not to make fun of him. On this, the accused caught hold of him and took him to the jungle and started beating him. "The accused were carrying a Swiss Army Knife along with him and they stabbed in his chest. Kalua succumbed to the injuries on the spot. After this, the accused fled the spot on their motorcycles," said DCP South East Chinmoy Biswal.
The accused were identified as Naveen (20), Aman Kumar Singh (20), Mohit Kumar (25) and Sajal Kumar Maheshwari (19), all residents of Govindpuri. Three juveniles were also apprehended. Cops said the accused consumed alcohol before the murder. The deceased had no permanent address and was a vagabond of Kalkaji Mandir area. Kalua was an orphan and was raised in a Dharamshala near Kalkaji Mandir. He used to keep the company of kinnars and at times also dressed like them. On the fateful night, he wore a black suit-salwar with ghunghroo, which was made fun of by the accused.
