Gurugram: A man was arrested by the Gurugram police after he stalked and sexually assaulted a minor. The accused allegedly works in a mobile phone store. The victim allegedly stopped going to school after being repeatedly harassed for months. The accused was identified as Vishal, a resident of Rajiv Nagar. The victim used to study at a government school.
The accused allegedly approached the victim in Sector 14 market and groped her hand. When the victim raised her voice, the accused fled the spot. The victim then narrated her ordeal to her family. The complaint was lodged by the family. The accused was booked under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The complaint was filed at the Women's police station (West).
Subhash Boken, spokesperson, Gurugram police, said the accused, was arrested on Monday night and sent to judicial custody on Tuesday. "During interrogation, he confessed to committing the crime,"
he said.
