New Delhi: The official website of Delhi-based Jamia Millia Islamia was hacked late midnight on Tuesday. On visiting the website of the central university — https://jmi.ac.in/, the visitors are shown a birthday message written on the homepage, which read birthday wish to an unidentified girl. However, the website was restored after six hours, a university official said.
Moreover, no person or group has so far claimed the responsibility for hacking the website. According to an official, the operation of the official website has been outsourced and its server is also installed at the service provider. "Moreover, all the precautionary measures are being taken and we will also pursue legal proceeding against the culprit," said AP Siddiqui, Registrar, Jamia Milia Islamia.
